Works are continuing at the Multifunctional Centre in the Palace of Culture Peshkopi, Dibër. The project "Cross-border Cycling: Next-level Adventure Tourism in Mavrovo-Rostushe and Dibër" has been financially supported by the European Delegation to the Republic of North Macedonia under the Cross-border Programme Republic of North Macedonia - Republic of Albania through the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II) for 2016 & 2017.

The project is being implemented by: • Albanian Foundation for Local Capacity Development (ALCDF) • Association for Active Tourism Exploration 2018, Ohrid • Dibër District Council • Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostushe

The overall objective of the project is: Further development in the adventure tourism economic sector in the cross-border zone of Mavrovo-Rostushe and Dibër, through the creation of new tourist products with the final aim of increasing the number of domestic and foreign visitors.

Within the framework of the second objective of this project, 40 km of bicycle trails are planned to be constructed in the two respective countries in the Dibër zone in the Republic of Albania and the Mavrovo-Rostushe zone in the Republic of North Macedonia.
