Past. Tradition. Future. - The way we interact!

Traditional dances, gastronomy, handcrafts, fashion, and presentation of projects were all presented and promoted together through the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania at the 7th celebration of European Territorial Cooperation Day titled "Past. Tradition. Future. - The way we interact!" The event was organized on October 21st on the Main Pedestrian Street in KorΓ§a, Albania. The event was opened by H.E. Luigi Soreca, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Albania, and H.E. David Geer, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in North Macedonia. The two ministries, represented by Sokol Dedja, General Director of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Albania, and Zoran Dimitrovski, Deputy Minister of the Ministry for Local Self-Government in the Republic of North Macedonia, which implemented the IPA 2 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 in both countries, agreed that this is very important for EU integration for Albania and North Macedonia. The Mayor of KorΓ§a, Sotiraq Filo, sent a message stating that the day represented a holiday for KorΓ§a to celebrate the EU spirit in their city. At the event, students from the Fashion Faculties of Tirana and Skopje presented traditional dresses from the past in new modern versions. Additionally, young dancers and a band entertained the guests by playing local music, while locals enjoyed the gastronomy and indulged in the handcrafts.
