Protection of endangered flora endemic species in Bulqiza district
Developing a comprehensive understanding of nature protection through community participation, securing sustainable use of natural resources and social prosperity.
Specific Objectives
- To provide environmental education for develop the sense of responsibility on biodiversity and endemic species protection for young generations
- To enhance knowledge on best practices of wild MAPs harvesting and post harvesting manipulation and introducing cultivation technology of endangered species, increasing the value of plant products, impacting the livelihood level of rural people in Bulqiza district
Expected Results
- Raised awareness and increased sense of responsibility among youths and community for the protection of biodiversity and endemic species.
- Enhanced knowledge on wild MAPs harvesting and post harvesting practices, encouraged cultivation of endangered species and increased value of plant production
The implementation of the project has started and it is going based on the plan proposed. The first instalment of 7,736.75 Euro is disbursed after the signing of grant contract.
