Harvest Festival in Peshkopi. "Empowering Women of Dibra through Agro-tourism" WEDA

On October 12, 2024, the "Harvest Festival" was held in Peshkopi, a fair featuring typical products of the region. More than 40 women engaged in the agro-tourism sector, supported by the WEDA project "Empowering Dibran Women in Agri-Tourism," participated in this fair, presenting and promoting their products including agricultural and livestock products from their farms, handmade crafts, agro-processed products, and traditional dishes. The interest of visitors and consumers who visited the stands where agro-tourism women had displayed their products was high. The new packaging, labels, and service approach of the agro-tourism women were distinctive and more attractive to the public. In addition to sales, participating women had the opportunity to create interactions and business connections with other enterprises interested in agro-tourism products for longer periods and larger quantities. The Harvest Festival fair in Peshkopi was a good opportunity for women engaged in the agro-tourism value chain in Dibra to increase market access for their products, directly impacting the growth of production volume and income for their families.
