Meeting with Organizations on Protection of Biodiversity Values in Protected Areas in the Sharr-Korab Mountain Massif

A roundtable discussion to assess the need for coordination between research work and management activities for the proper management of Protected Areas (PA) in the Sharr-Korab massif. On March 1, 2024, a roundtable was held in Peshkopi with the participation of individuals and organizations contributing to research or scientific research work in the protection of biodiversity values in protected areas in the Sharr-Korab mountain massif, where they discussed the distinctive resources of flora and fauna, threats, and the need for coordination between research work and management activities for the proper management of Protected Areas (PA) and influential measures for cooperation with the part of North Macedonia. This meeting was organized within the framework of the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Shar Mountain, Mavrovo and Korab-Koritnik", financed by the PONT program – Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust, implemented by ALCDF and partners CSCD and LAG Dibra Turistike.
