Opening of the Tourism Season in Diber, with the Presence of Youth Showcasing their Work with Recyclable Materials. Supported by PONT

Young people from schools located in the Korab-Koritnik Park participated in the "opening of the tourism season" event in Diber, presenting some of their best works and creations with a focus on nature and its monuments. At the fair booths organized by the Diber Municipality, the group of students from these schools presented paintings, works made from recyclable materials, innovative tools and equipment for birds and wild animals, herbarium collections with rare plants from the park, photographs and animations showcasing the park's natural beauty, and videos demonstrating their experiences in the wonders of nature. This activity was part of an initiative to engage young people in nature conservation issues in protected areas, under the motto: we are #Stronger, With Young People! A round table discussion was also organized with key local actors, addressing their participation in the park's management structures, raising awareness about their role and responsibilities in ecosystem management, and community response measures against illegal interventions and the protection of biodiversity values. This activity was organized within the framework of the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Sharr Mountain, Mavrova and Korab-Koritnik", funded by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust - PONT program, with project implementers being the ALCDF Foundation and partners CSCD and LAG Dibra Turistike.
