Signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the ALCDF Foundation and Sharr Mountain National Park in the Republic of North Macedonia

We are pleased to share with our followers today the moments of signing the Cooperation Agreement between the ALCDF Foundation and Sharr Mountain National Park in the Republic of North Macedonia, within the framework of the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Sharr, Mavrovo and Korab-Koritnik" financed by PONT. The agreement was signed by the Director of the ALCDF Foundation Ms. Lindita Manga and the Director of Sharr Mountain Park Mr. Ibrahim Dehari. Present at this moment was also the PONT Program Director Ms. Mirjam de Koning. In this agreement, the parties agreed to cooperate for effective and more efficient governance of the transboundary protected areas in the Sharr-Korab region, in order to increase ecological, economic and social benefits for the local population.

The special feature of this ceremony was that it coincided with the event of the opening of the new offices of Sharr Mountain Park, in the former cable car building in Tetovo. This ceremony brought together many friends and contributors to Sharr Park, from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning in North Macedonia, National Agencies, representatives from local authorities, Universities of Tetovo and Skopje, as well as from the National Parks of Mavrovo and Sharr in Kosovo and various donors who have contributed to the facilities and activities of Sharr Mountain National Park. A very special event, where one could feel the festive and welcoming atmosphere from the new and dedicated staff of Sharr Park, led by the passionate Director Mr. Ibrahim Dehari, where all participants were presented with the new offices, the work done so far and the future objectives of Sharr Mountain National Park. Representatives of the Ministry, donors and other friends greeted and wished for successful work of Sharr Mountain National Park and its new offices.
