Youth Activity on Environmental Education and Their Engagement for Parks, Protected Areas and Nature with Support from PONT

Engaging young people with passion for parks, protected areas and nature. Environmental education of young people for understanding the importance of protected areas is an essential matter for the Local Youth Council in Dibër, which in this initiative has found support and synergy with ALCDF and its partners in the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Sharr Mountain, Mavrova and Korab-Koritnik".

The group of young people from the Local Youth Council during these summer vacation days chose to be active with educational activities in the areas of Korab-Korinik Park, in the tourist villages of Radomirë and Rabdisht, to acquire knowledge about natural monuments, tourist trails, care for the protection of flora and fauna, and cleaning plastic waste from main tourist sites. These summer educational activities aimed to engage young people with passion for nature.

The activities were organized within the framework of the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Sharr Mountain, Mavrova and Korab-Koritnik", funded by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust - PONT program, implemented by ALCDF and partners CSCD and LAG Dibra Turistike.
