Awareness Campaign Launched for Rehabilitation of Existing Durrës-Tirana Railway Line and Construction of New Domje I/C-Rinas Segment

Within the framework of the project "Strengthening Civil Society Capacities for Promoting Safe and Sustainable Use of Railway Transport in Albania," an awareness campaign was launched on December 13, 2022, targeting the population living and working along the Durrës-Tirana railway line and the new segment providing access to these municipalities with Rinas International Airport. During consultations with specialists from the Directorate of Urban Planning and Information at Kamza Municipality, a concrete cooperation plan was agreed upon with the aim of informing stakeholder groups directly affected by the railway network construction phase as widely as possible. At Vorë Municipality, the need was emphasized to work together with the Directorate of Social Services and Economic Assistance, as well as with village and neighborhood leaders impacted by the railway line rehabilitation works, in order to identify vulnerable groups and find appropriate channels for informing them about the project and expected changes.
