Tradition is not the ashes of the past, but the gospel of the light of the future.

With these words, the author of the book featuring 38 recipes from the Kurbin area, Dhurata Thanasi Daneri, began her speech at the premises of COD - Center For Openness And Dialogue in the Prime Minister's Office.

This event gathered all the contributors of this publication, part of the project "Eternal Flavors of Kurbin," implemented by the ALCDF Foundation within the framework of the EU4Culture program, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNOPS Albania with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports.

In attendance were the Mayor of Kurbin, Mrs. Majlinda Shqalsi Cara, representatives of the European Delegation in Tirana, UNOPS Albania, the Agrotourism Association, representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, researchers of ethnography and culinary arts, renowned professionals in the field, as well as many of Dhurata's friends and collaborators in this initiative.

All speakers praised the professional work and passion of the author, as well as the role this book plays in preserving and transmitting tradition—from grandmothers to children. The importance of culture in promoting tourism was also emphasized, especially in areas with a strong identity like Kurbin.

The Director of ALCDF, Lindita Manga, expressed pride in the Foundation's contribution to the development of tourism in Albania, noting that projects built in collaboration with the community not only leave a mark but also carry a "flavor"—because they convey the experiences and emotions of the community itself.

This approach, which places the community at the center, is the key to "eternal flavors," where people are proud of their values and heritage.
